Inclusion Support

At Sacred Heart all students have the right to learn and be successful. Our school has created an inclusive learning culture that caters for a range of student abilities from Kindergarten to Year Six.

Our Inclusion Support Centre (ISC) is an integral learning hub that directly supports students with special needs; in both academics and life skills.

The ISC provides Individual Education Plans (IEP) to support the physical, cognitive, social emotional and medical needs of students. The IEP outlines environmental, instructional and curriculum adjustments specific to each child. Staff collaborate and communicate with students parents, classroom teachers and therapists to set personalised goals, which are monitored and regularly reviewed.

The ISC also provides a range of learning opportunities such as; one on one, small group work and or mainstream classroom support. The learning centre is an inviting space that includes an accessible bathroom, rooms for therapy and allows for sensory experiences, including a vegetable garden, trampoline, and cocoon swing.
