Welcome to our School

Acknowledgement of Country

We gather here in this special place, Whadjuk Noongar Boodja, to continue our learning journey together.

We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of the land.

We pay our respects to the Elders; past, present and emerging and recognise their physical and spiritual connection to Country.

ANZAC DAY CEREMONY

Yesterday the whole school came together for an Anzac Day ceremony, facilitated by our Year Five students. It was a somber occasion where the children paused to remember the sacrifices made by those who have served our country.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them. Lest we forget.

NEW PLAYGROUND BLESSING

This afternoon Fr George James our parish priest, blessed our two new playgrounds and extended our thanks to God for providing our students with the opportunity to play on such amazing equipment. We warmly thank Fr George for blessing our playgrounds. We also extend a huge thank you to our Sacred Heart Thornlie P&F and our school community who raised money so that the playgrounds could be possible. Our school is blessed with 10 amazing play spaces for our students to play. We are so blessed! Catholic Education WA
