Welch House was named after Sr Maria Welch, IBVM She was born in Cairns, Northern Queensland She retired and lived in Queensland She enjoyed walking in the bush and on the beach, and listening to music. Sr Maria was Principal of Sacred Heart School Thornlie on the Tonbridge Way site from: 1976—1983 Sr Maria Passed away in 2007 |
